Desiccated Coconut Low Fat
Desiccated Coconut is obtained by drying the granulated or shredded white meat of the fresh mature coconut kernel. It should be suitably processed for human consumption.
Low fat desiccated organic coconut is made from the white coconut flesh, where the fat is removed from the white meat of the coconut and it is dehydrated giving it a low-fat content of min. 45%.
Desiccated Coconut using the aqueous process by pressing the meat to obtain coconut cream before drying shall be classified as low fat desiccated coconut.
Products with the main ingredient of coconut are now popular in European and Middle Eastern countries ranging from instant food to natural herbal foods that use coconut as the main ingredient or as an additive. One of them is Dessicated coconut.
The nutritional value of Dessicated coconut is quite high and resembles coconut in general. Starting from the fat content, protein fiber, vitamins and minerals can also be obtained from DC. The nutritional content is certainly good for the body to meet daily nutrition,

Packing and Storage of Desiccated Coconut
Desiccated Coconuts are packed in multi-ply kraft paper bags with inner sealed polythene to keep away from the atmosphere’s moisture. Desiccated Coconuts is packed in multi layers kraft paper bag with HD plastic inner of 15 kg. Desiccated Coconuts shall be stored in cool and dry place. Avoid direct sunlight and strong odour.
